Notes for FluidSIM Version 3.x users

FluidSIM 4 is backward compatible with the Version 3. This means that circuits that have been created with the previous version can still be used with the new version. Due to the new physical modeling and the expanded component properties not all functions of the version 4 are available for circuit files of version 3. In these cases, FluidSIM brings up a message. Mostly, it is enough to replace some components of the circuit by new components from the library.

In some cases, circuits that could not be simulated satisfactory with the previous version now behave more realistic. This is especially the case when dynamic effects such as pressure increase or mass inertia are important for the system function.

Also your existing presentation files can be used with FluidSIM 4. Although the didactics material has been completely revised, presentations containing material of the previous version are still supported.
