The important characteristics from data sheets can be integrated in to FluidSIM simply and taken into account during simulation. In pneumatics for example, the normal nominal flow rate for all valves can be indicated, or in the case of hydraulics the characteristic curve for pressure drop vs. volumetric flow rate can be given.

Hydraulic resistance is effected either by entering the relevant figures or graphically with a chacteristic curve. In this way the characteristics of the user‘s own components can also be easily defined.
