FluidSIM 4New

FluidSIM uses deep dynamic models which are all documented in the Didactic section for detailed inspection. All of the components are modelled with their most important physical characteristics. This is the only way to ensure that the simulation corresponds as closely as possible to reality. In the case of the cylinder model the following effects are taken into account:

  • Mass inertia of the mass being moved
  • The angle affecting the force due to weight of the mass being moved
  • Friction
Static friction, Newtonian and Coulombian sliding friction of the cylinder‘s piston and an external mass, which make it possible to simulate the stick-slip effect.
  • In the case of cylinders with retract spring a spring force proportional to spring rate
  • A force profile defined by the user
  • Internal leakage due to leaking seals
  • A simplified model for end cushioning
  • The volume of the cylinder chamber dependent on the path of the piston during increase in pressure
