In the new version 4, all status variables are calculated continuously (dynamically) over time (transient analysis). As a result effects such as increase in pressure, acceleration and mass inertia can be simulated. A new, highly efficient, state-of-the-art simulator has been developed for FluidSIM for the calculation of dynamic models. The simulator uses a range of symbolic and numerical procedures for the solution of linear, non-linear and differential-algebraic equational systems. Various integration processes are available to the simulator which are selected and controlled intelligently in relation to the operating time. Explicit and implicit one step and multi-step procedures are employed as integration processes. All processes are equipped with an increment control and allow the user to read interpolated intermediate values. All of the models included in FluidSIM are created in the modelling language Modelica.
